Meet Becca Niitzel – Dedicated Kent Resident, Healthcare Professional, and Advocate for Community Well-Being

My name is Becca Niitzel, and I am proud to call Kent my home. As a mom to a toddler and wife to an incredible nurse, my family quickly fell in love with this town. We put down roots by engaging in community events, enjoying the local library and hiking trails, and actively participating in local boards.

Professionally, I have dedicated my career to helping people, working in hospital and rehabilitation settings as a registered dietitian. I have worked for years on a national level advocating for the workers in my field. I know how to listen, take action, and implement solutions. I want to bring that same dedication and problem-solving mindset to local government—prioritizing transparency, responsiveness, and people-first policies that make Kent a better place for everyone.

As a member of the Kent Town Board, my goal is to empower our residents—children, families, and seniors alike—while ensuring responsible fiscal management.  I will champion local businesses and economic development while advocating to preserve the environmental and scenic beauty of our town and lakes.

Most importantly, I am running to be a voice for the residents of Kent—to listen, to advocate, and to ensure that our town’s future reflects the needs and values of the people who call it home. Our community needs a dedicated board member who is present, transparent, and focused on bringing people together. As a healthcare professional, I listen, take action, and implement solutions every day.  I will bring that same commitment to local government—prioritizing transparency, responsiveness, and people-first policies to strengthen our town.
